Valentine’s Day Dates & Gifts

Valentine’s Day is in TWO days, so if you haven’t given it much thought, or you’re stuck on ideas, you came to the right place! From dates to gifts, I brainstormed a list of ideas that your special someone will enjoy. Without further ado, here you go:

FOR HER:
  • Flowers & chocolates. You can’t go wrong with this classic gift, just make sure to spruce it up by pairing a unique flower with a special truffle.
  • Perfume & robe. One of my favorite perfumes is Divine from Victoria’s Secret which pairs perfectly with a pretty satin robe
  • Candle & bath bomb. Your woman just wants to feel pampered sometimes, so gifting her these little tokens is bound to put her in a good mood.
  • Picture of you two & jewelry tray. These two go well together and you can even find a matching set. The picture is something she will always treasure and feature somewhere near her to remember you.
  • Massage/Spa certificate. This is a sure way to treat the woman in your life and let her know how much you care for her. No one says no to spa day.
FOR HIM:
  • Engraved watch. It might be on the pricer end, but it’s something he’ll treasure and he’ll actually get some use from it.
  • Matching T-Shirts. There are so many cute tees out there! My boyfriend even found one at his college that says "UCR girlfriend." There's always the Disney Store if you want to rock a his-her combo.
  • Mug with a special coffee blend. Starbucks has some really nice deals for coffee blends which you can pair with a mug that's right for him.
  • His favorite candy and movie tickets. You can treat your guy to a nice evening out to the movies, that's sure to put a smile on his face.
  • Bottle of Bourbon. My boyfriend made me add this to the list. We recently found a small shop in our town that sells specialty products from around the world, including the smoothest bourbon we've ever tasted.
DATES:
  • Picnic under the stars. It’s on the low end of the price scale, but it has those special elements like alone time, twinkling lights, and plenty of cuddling, especially if you pair it with lots of pillows and blankets.
  • Observatory. If a picnic isn't up your alley, try visiting an observatory where you can see the stars and planets at night! The Griffith Observatory in LA is a great place to visit. Plus, you get an amazing view of Los Angeles at night.
  • Stroll at a park. You can even pick up your favorite sweet treat and gaze at the view of the sunset together.
  • Jazz café & show. There are lots of blues houses that offer music and snacks so you two can jam out and enjoy a unique experience together.
  • Disneyland. Nothing is so romantic as watching fireworks and boarding rides as a couple at the happiest place on Earth. If you want to save a few bucks, you can buy a nice meal at Downtown Disney and catch a great view of the fireworks for free!
  • Dinner & a musical. Check out your area and see what the local theaters are showing! Your special someone will appreciate the unique opportunity to watch a live show.
