Simple Beef Stew
Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of whipping up a meal, you forget to check your ingredients. Halfway through making some creamy chicken soup, I realized I was out of chicken! Fortunately, I I was able to save my soup by making this tasty beef stew. It took as little as 20 min to make!Hope you enjoy it!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 peeled and diced potato
- 3 peeled and diced carrots
- 1/4 diced onion
- 3 cloves fresh garlic minced
- 3 stalks of celery diced
- 1 can beef
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Melt butter and add onion, potato, carrots and celery. After they slightly soften, add garlic.
- Add chicken stalk to the vegetables and let them simmer.
- Add beef and dried oregano.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the water, tomato sauce and wine. Bring to a boil for 5 min.
- Turn to a simmer for another 5 minutes or until the stew has soaked up most of the liquid.
- Serve with a baguette.
