Matthew 5:6

While we proceed through Lent, we must stay grounded in the Truth and follow the teachings and example of Christ.

As Christ fasted for 40 days before facing temptation in the desert, so too do we fast to prevail against temptation.

It is not for our chastisement that we fast as it is so that we can grow in fear and faith in the Lord

Through hunger from edible desires, we are satisfied with the fruits of God's Love.

May we be found faithful and righteous in the eyes of the Lord.
